Easy IGPU question

At this Tom's article link: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-2.html the author displays two CPUs side-by-side.

It appears that the lower cost G860 has a better integrated GPU. Is that true? Just making sure... I'm trying to build out a very nice PC that does not have a discrete graphics card and I want to insure I understand the details of IGPUs.

Actually, as a follow-up question, does anyone know of a site that lists CPUs ranked by the power of their IGPUs?

  1. For information on the IGP or IGPU you can go to for the 2nd generation Intel® Core™ processors like the Intel Pentium® G860 http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/2nd-gen-hd-graphics-quick-reference-guide

For the 3rd generation Intel Core processors like the Intel Pentium G2120 you can view information on the graphics at http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/quick-reference-guide-to-intel-processor-graphics

Also for any hard information on the our processors the best site is http://ark.intel.com/ If you pull up the processor in question you will be able to see all the stats on that processor.

In the end the graphics on the Intel Pentium G2120 while they may run slower should be the better graphics due to the updated performance that comes with all of our 3rd generation Intel Core processors.
  2. No.
    G2120 has HD2500.
    G860 has HD2000.

If that is so, go with AMD A10 5800k.
    It has the most powerful
    desktop integrated graphics today.
