Hello,

System
asus p5vd2-mx
Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz/2Μ/1066
2GB RAM
Ati Radeon 4350 HD Graphics Card
Win 7 ultimate 32

The pc is slow in general and whatever video i tried is super choppy. All Drivers, updates etc are installed with no errors. Can someone give me a suggestion what to look for? Really appreciate any help given.

1 - Viewing video online, or from CD ? When video begins to load, you could pause it and let buffering complete before viewing.

2 - Slow, just viewing videos, or other abnormalities in performance ?
Run your AV scan + try Malwarebytes Antimalware Free Scanner, to check for infections.

Thanks for the quick reply

I did a fresh install win7 32 and the issue with video performance is still here but different now. The pc generally runs fust. I can see perfect mkv 1080p videos with wmc but if i try to open the videos with any other app no matter what type of video i see alot of choppiness. the cpu load is at 20% and memory at 40%. i tried several things but nothing seems to solve this issue and im running out of ideas...

is really strange that no-one has reported this defect with this board and win 7 (32 & 64) but only audio concerning defects.

So i'm coming back. Is there anyone that has asus p5vd2-mx and win 7 (32 or 64) and is capable of viewing any kind of video (online-from file-from DVD) without choppiness ?? With Choppiness i mean a lot !!

I second you , yes i have the same MB and win 7 32 bits with HD5450 graphic and everything is slow and choppy.

Its just a fresh install , i noticed after i installed the video driver everything went slow and choppy.

No ideas ... maybe ill try to take off the driver from ati ........

Hello, I have the same issue with p5vd2-mx motheboard, proper drivers on newly installed win7 64 before, 32 bit now and playing movies is impossible, playing some flash on website quite good but windows clock starts slowing then, even stops for a while. Have you resolved this ? Thanks for a reply.

I also have the p5vd2- mx se motherboard, and been having performance problems since upgrading to Windows7 64bit from XP. I have tried to update my BIOS since its a 2007 version, but there doesnt seem to be any files available for this motherboard and OS. I believe the p5vd2- MX SE does not support windows 7? It certainly isnt on their supplied list of mobos that support Win 7.
