This is for a non-gamer, but wants fast. I will get this from microcenter. What do you think?

looks good, but you won't need that 600W PSU. without a video card at all, you only need a 300-400W PSU. get the Corsair 430W

yeah, I did think about that. But this will allow for an upgrade to video card if there is a change of mind in future. Plus Microcenter did not have the 430 in stock :)

ok, you are right, I could save a couple of bucks if I get the Antec Basiq vp450 for 40 ($30 after mail in rebate).

that should work fine, and should take up to a 6850/7850 AMD video card, or up to 550ti/560SE from NVidea (maybe the 660?)

My system is complete and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The only thing I would have done differently is install Linux only instead of dual Windows/linux. I never use Windows now that I have Ubuntu installed.
