I'm not quite a n00b anymore, but I could use the community's help finding some Mod parts. This is also my first post after lurking for a couple months, so please bare with my forum etiquette.
I just finished my second build.
- ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe LGA 1155 mini-ITX
- Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge
- EVGA 01G-P3-1561-AR GeForce GTX 560 Ti
- LIAN LI PC-Q08B Case
The problem is that ASUS placed the 10-pin front panel audio header in-line with the PCI Express slot. That puts it right under the EVGA; and I can't seat the card with the Lian Li supplied audio cable in place. EVERYTHING is tight on a mini-ITX, but this doesn't seem very well thought out by ASUS.
I'm looking for a cable with a right angle (90 deg) connector, or the right angle connector for me to build a cable. I've spent a few days browsing computer mod sites, and various forums, but can't seem to find the part I need. A "push-in" or "crimp-style" connector would really be best. My soldering skills are okay, but just okay.
I imagine that 10 individual connectors (like the power led wire) would work, but I would still have to mod each right angle for the clearance under the VGA card.
