6850 with Athlon II x3 450

I'm thinking of getting a new graphics card. Specifically the Radeon hd 6850. My question is, will I be able to play games smoothly with my current CPU or will my system be bottle necked? Also, will I be able to run it with my current PSU?

Cpu: Athlon II x3 450
Gpu: ASUS 6670 gddr5
PSU: Diablotek PHD450 (450w)
Mobo: ASRock880gm-le
Ram: 4gb ripjaws

I used a 4770 with a x3 440 then upgraded to a 6850. The performance difference was huge!! Then i upgraded my processor to Phenom x4 955BE and the performance increase was mild (i do not play GTA). But in BF3 or MW3 multiplayer yu may experience serious lag with that processor

I would not get a 6850. The 7770 is cheaper and beats the 6850 while using less power. You could run either with 450w.

Your PSU has 30A on 12Vrail so it might not be a problem though i suggest buying a quality brand like seasonic,corsair etc

Actually I have played mw3 on this processor and the FPS was fairly decent
