Sup fellas. I'm curious as to whether I should get the Radeon 7770 with the FX 4100 along with the m5a97 on Micro Center. It is SUPER cheap. I'm talking $130 for the 7770, $100 for the fx 4100, and the m5a97 for $45 (combo). Another question is whether I should get the TC102 Mid Tower ATX Computer Case with 500W Power Supply from Coolermaster for $38. I know it sounds like a terrible rip off, but I've seen some pretty good reviews on it. My whole setup is below, its all for around $615. Keep in mind that I want to be able to play BF3 on ultra on 1440x900.

DVD burner
500gb 7,200 hdd
4 120mm green led 2,000 rpm fans
AMD FX-4100 3.6 GHz quad core
8 GB 1333MHz
20" refurbished eMachines monitor (MAX RES: 1600x900
Cooler Master TC102 Mid Tower ATX Computer Case w/ 500w PSU
HIS Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1024MB GDDR5
cheap keyboard and mouse

thanx for reading, it will help a lot. :bounce: :D

It all looks good, but one thing!

There is no point playing BF3 on Ultra at only 1440 x 900!

Im seriously going to suggest that you extend your budget $200 and get a nice monitor ($150) and get a better branded 7770 (HIS are cheap and have flimsy PCB'S)!

Also unless those fans come with the case, you only one or two, your system doesn't require that many fans at all!

You will genuinely enjoy the build more with the new monitor, and hopefully if you cut the cost without the fans, you could even fit in a better GPU!

If you want me to suggest a GPU and Monitor just say so, i assume you're buying from Newegg!

ARE YOU CRAZY?!!? I NEED ALL KINDSA WIND IN MY SYSTEM!!! WHAT 'CHU TALKIN' BOUT WILLIS!? :sol:
Seriously though, I am not going to ship my parts, I'm going to buy them at Micro Center. I don't think the PCB will get damaged unless I use it as a hack saw (idk..) . :D
Also, I did some research on how the 7770 SMOKES the GTX 550 ti, so I think its worth it because of its price. And I can't really afford to upgrade because I only haz $650. :pfff:
What are your suggestions for the monitor though? the price range is from $5 to $10. JK but $50 to around $100. :)

Yup, that is what I've always kept in mind. And I've always found that the builds that go with the lower resolutions always end up with the lower prices. And to be quite frank, 1440x900 isn't that much of a difference compared to 1920x1080. If its in ultra, it looks GREAT.

MAN TWO FANS CAN'T COOL DOWN THIS BEAST BRO!!! think of it like this.. There is a football player with no sweat glands at all. Lets say he is NOT on the skinny side. He plays as a nose guard and plays for the whole game. How does he cool himself off? he doesn't get a little bitty fan that sprinkles water.. HE GETS A MOTHER F'ING PLANE PROPELLER TO COOL HIM DOWN.

Also, that monitor is way too overkill for this GPU. It's more suitable for probably a gtx 560 ti.

the intel i3 2100 is 90 bucks and the closest one to the 2120 is the 2125 and it is $120, idk about mobo combos but I'm sure they have them. Why?
