Hi, I'm having quite a big problem with my Wireless Internet. I'm with Virgin Media (UK) with a 30 MB connection. When I'm connected to the router through Ethernet I get 31.75 mbps download and 3.12 mbps upload which seems to be above what I should be getting but when I connect through wireless I only get 1.12 mbps download and 2.81 mbps upload. This is when using a Broadcom b/g/n wireless card which came installed in my laptop. These speeds are pretty much the same with every other wireless device I have.
I downloaded inSSIDer 2.0 and took a look at what channels the other devices in my area were on to see if there were any conflictions. I noticed that a lot of the wireless signals in my area were on channel 6 and so was mine. I went through the wireless channels one by one trying to find the best one but with channels 1 to 10 (excluding 6) I could not connect at all to my wireless, with channel 11 I could connect but the speed was worse than before with just under a 1 mbps D/L.
Can anyone help please.
Thank You.
