Gts 450 poor perfomance

Hello Everybody,

I hope you all can help me.Well a few days ago I bought an INNO3D GTS 450.The strange thing about this card is that it has no 6pin connector and its very small as compared to the other gts 450s

The problem is that I am getting poor perfomance from this card I run all the latest games on medium on this card where as my friend has the msi gts 450 and he runs all the games on high without any problem

C2D E7600 @ stock
2GB DDR2 RAM @ srock
PSU 500w
HD 160gb

Its likely that your CPU is bottlenecking the GTS450, your CPU is fairly outdated now and will really struggle with modern games, Also 2GB of RAM is quite low.

upgrade to cheap one intel or amd cpu 4gb ram good for gaming

The cpu is a good match for that video card, there definitely is not bottleneck.

Are you sure the link you posted is the EXACT model you have of GTX450? Cause they make several models.

Some Inno3d GTS450 have 512mb of ram, some have 1GB, some have 2GB, some have DDR3, others have DDR5.

Your friends MSI likely has a higher clock speed than yours or faster ram, without knowing the model, can't really tell.

The one you linked is 723mhz core, some of them are as high as 850mhz.

What cpu + memory size does your friend have in his pc?

Well what I have is a Gts 450 SDDR3. I have seen GDDR3 or GDDR5 but never heard anything about any SDDR3.So can this make any difference and one more thing is that my gts 450 doesn't require any 6pin power cable but the other gts 450z do require one so thats also strange
