Help please

Ok, so i just got a custom gaming computer from my friend. I heard some things are old in it and what not. So basically i wana know what i should upgrade in it so i can play games like CoD:MW3 and BF3 on high graphics. I play a game called Project Blackout on high graphics no problem so yeah, anyways this is my computer.(I'm not very computer smart yet so don't make fun
processors: intel(R) pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.20Ghz (it has two of them so does that mean i got a dual core something)

Network adapters: intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network connection

Display adapters: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT

RAM:2GB

HardDrive: 150GB or something like that

If you could get back to me on what would be good to upgrade and what not, it would be very great. Also i don't wana spent too too much.

You have to change 3 basic things like, RAM, Motherboard & processor. If you have more budget then i recommended i7 or i5 but if you have less budget then buy a dual core or core 2 due system.

That whole entire system is old and outdated, about 5-7 years old.

Well i got about $300 i know that prob wont do much :\
