Hello guys, I have a question. I have a desktop computer originally built for gaming, and is not wireless. I moved houses, and the internet router was moved to next to the television in my living room. I will have to pay ~50 bucks to have the guy run a wire through my wall upstairs so that the router can be upstairs and I can connect via ethernet. I don't want to pay the 50 bucks though. I was looking around for a way to connect, and found this Usb Wireless N thing. Here's a link to one:

My questions: How does it work? Does this work universally with all internet routers? Is there a big ping difference?
