CPU 2500 or 3570 or keep what i got?

Ok its time for a new system build i think, I've been reading and reading on what to get and i got a headache.. i'm running the asus commando, x6800 cpu with a asus 8800gtx video. i want better video (BF3) and a faster system. is it worth the upgrade or should i just keep what i got and just upgrade the video card? So If its worth the upgrade what Mobo,cpu and video-card do you recomend. Wife will kill me if i spend $700 ![:o]( ":o")
