I have halfway figured out my first build ever, need some pointers and advice! Thanks!

Approximate Purchase Date: 1-2 weeks from today

Budget Range: 1000 to 1300 USD After rebates.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming & Design work.

RAM...

or you may wanna go with the low profile RAM. Heat spreaders usually get in the way when installing a cooler such as the 212 evo...

HDD:

SSD:

optical drive...

Everything else looks great...just take note that the microcenter deals are in store only. so you're only gonna get that kinda deal if you live within driving distance of a microcenter.

I would also recommend this case...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

It offers better airflow and more fan mounts.

Other than those few things I mentioned, looks great. Either way, you're gonna be one happy dude when you get those parts and start the amazing journey of putting it together. =)
