Ask your druid trainer. Purple skin, pointed ears, looks like a girl with
hair in his face -> you can't miss him.

BTW: That was at level 10.

That's because you're a whimpy elf.

Figure out how your druid works. Learn when to use bear form to tank and
when not. Play with others (hell, you're an ally, you're not supposed to
play alone, that could probably kill you!), get yourself some friends
you regularly play with. Do quests, they won't level you faster, but
they will be more fun than just pure grinding, and they will make you
feel like you were levelling faster.

You should already have bear form. If not, the "Ooops". In Darnassus there
is a druid trainer up on the second floor of the little tower with the
normal druid trainers at the bottom (the tower is just past the mounts
seller). Go up to him and he should give you a quest. He will actually give
you a few over the course of your druiding life, so it's worth checking with
him every now and again. He does send you letters I seem to remember,
reminding you to visit.

Anyway, talking to him should set you on the path to fantastic fun and
versatility

Correct. The druid trainer in Darnassus will send you to Moonglade to
do a quest there to get your Bear Form.

Ahem. ;-)

Actually, Druid is probably one of the, if not THE, easiest class to
solo with. That said, I think the lowest levels were tough for me
simply because I was new to the game. By the time I hit 50, I had "got
it" and blurred through to 60. My Tauren Warrior is zipping along now
and I imagine that if I came over to Sunstrider and tried out a Tauren
Druid, I'd prolly have a pretty smooth time of it. (ganking aside)

Actually, they should. For three reasons. One, you get additional XP
after you've killed X thing or gathered X thing. Two, they'll give you
equipment upgrades that help you ability to get your job done faster as
better equipment generally means less walks of shame. Third, esp. for
new players, is that they give you the incentive to check out other
areas. Without that incentive, you may not know where you should be
going.

The last druid quest is at level 20.

I think the water travel form is obtainable at L16 as well

Alas, no. I'm a USsian. For some reason, I was confusing that realm
with a similar named one over here. Thanks for the invite, though. Once
I get a cable modem sometime down the line, I may take you up on that,
though.

My opinion about alliance in general was a bit ... negative after
the last weekend :o )

Sure, but soloing in general means (for me): Slow advancing, noone to
talk/joke with, no instances etc. Playing in parties will make me
forget the time, and I don't look on my XP bar anymore :-)

*EEEEK*. You're EU? Forget your current characters and come over to
Sunstrider!

Agreed, but from a certain level they start to require large distances to
be travelled, which is fun, but keeps one from making XP. I get currently
about 3500-4000 XP for a "standard" quest. That's only about 14-16 mobs
to kill. But all in all, especially for new players, questing makes ways
more sense.
