External Tuner for HD without CableCard

Hey there peeps -
I would like to purchase an external TV tuner card that I can use (with a Mohu Antenna) to watch FOX, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, in HD and record those programs. I don't have a cable card and I live in Atlanta, GA (if that matters). Ideally I'd like to be able to watch AND record multiple things at one time as well. Seeing as I don't have cable, am I don't believe the Hauppauge 2650, the HDHomeRun, or the InfinitiTV 4 will work.

Do you have a recommended product? I've been hearing a lot about ClearQAM and encryption - but this is all new to me. Thanks!

Local broadcast channels should be sent via ATSC (digital signal). For that you would only require something along the lines of the SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual.

ClearQAM is only in regards to cable television and your local broadcast stations do not encrypt their signals. No need to worry about that.

Thanks for the clarification!!! Will the Dual allow me to watch one thing and record another though? Or Better yet - record 2 things at 1x? I only have one TV, so I wouldn't mind having something that plugs directly into my HTPC.

Cheers!!!
