AMD 7850 Overclocking Issues

Hello, I have been having some issues with my graphics card when trying to overclock it. After I go so high on either setting in the CCC the screen starts jumping and tearing when doing anything but gaming. I fixed this by setting the idle clocks at 450mhz each. But whenever I keep an overclock and play a game the drivers stop responding and restore. It is very annoying and I have been forced to return it to stock settings to just play a game without any crashes. I have already tried giving it more voltage but it doesn't help. The card at max load never gets more than 42 degrees celsius.

Motherboard - Asus Z77 - V Pro
PSU - OCZ ZT 750w
Hard Drives - Samsung 830 128gb, 1tb Hitachi 7.2k
Graphics Card - Gigabyte 7850
Case - Corsair 500r
Optical Drive - LG DVD Burner
