New build, Starts, Mobo screen appears, but no beeps?

Hello all,

I am a complete noob attempting my first build.

I have assembled the MOBO with CPU, RAM, GPU, PSU.

I jumped the prongs to start it (outside of the case).

All fans spin, powers up, and Asrock mobo screen appears. I can cycle through the pages, overview, overclock, security, etc...

but the computer never beeps.

Could the speaker be bad? Is this all?

Yes, I connected the little speaker to it.
