Final Check on $1050 build?

Hey everyone, just have a setup to get checked over, need the pro's opinion.

Build will be used primarily for gaming, video editing for school and youtube, and photoshop, etc.

Thanks, also my budget is $1000 so im already $50 over so no more please :)

Intel Core i5 3570k -$239

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Motherboard - $155

Sapphire Radeon HD7850 2GB OC - $275

CoolerMaster Storm Enforcer Case - $95

Corsair Vengeance CML8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 - $69 (Low profile so I don't interfere with Hyper 212EVO)

CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler - $37

OCZ ModXstreaM Pro 600W Modular Power Supply - $79

Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 - $95

That is all the parts i need, i have an old Optical Drive i can use to install the O/S and whatnot, i also already have Windows 7.

Thanks for all your opinions!

  1. Anyone?
  2. You could save a little money on the RAM by going for something like this.

And it's low profile to boot.
  3. Looks nice, I do not like OCZ for power supply's, I would go with an antec or corsair or even better seasonic. And if you are not going to be storing a lot of files I would really recommend getting an SSD, they really are fast and you will never go back to a HDD and you can get a 120GB Sata 3 for around 90 bucks. Other than that the build looks good.
  4. Seems like a solid build. Personally, I'd opt in for a more efficient PSU, but it's no biggie.
  5. Well can you please find a better Power Supply, on, for $79? and i dont have any more money so i can not get an ssd, might get one for christmas or something.

This one will do fine, the 500 watts that it gives will be more than enough to power the system nicely.

And some low profile RAM that saves a little money as well, yet is just as good as the Corsair RAM that you chose.
  8. I don,t understand why poeple keep suggesting the 1600Hz ram everytime on low budget PC. 1333hz bottleneck any games currently.

Sure your just saving 6$ but they are low profile and you won't get any speed increasement for the 6$ so why wasting it ?

As for PSU go with seasonic, antec or corsair.

You don't want a SSD on a 1000$ budget for a gaming PC.

  10. What about the Antec HCG-520M , i wanted a modular power supply so im thinking this is better?
  11. Antec offers several power supplies which tend to be hit or miss. The models made by CWT i would avoid but the Delta/Seasonic models are very good.
