Frequent Motherboard/Processor Freeze?

November 24, 2012 1:45:29 AM

Ok , So, From the last 10 months I am getting one -two freezes, everytime it boots.

It happens when I am running a browser after boot.

Other strange problems:
+ When it hangs, the audio in background and cursor works.
+ After the hang, sometimes my DVD drive is gone from 'My Computer'.

What I have Tried:
+ Updating Bios to Latest
+ Reinstalling Windows
+ Updating DVD's Drivers
+ Uninstalling Display Drivers

I can't figure out the problem yet. Tha hang lasts for 1-3 mins.

System Specs:
Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 555
Cores: 2 (Max:4)
Cache Size: 7mb

MotherBoard: ASUS M4N68T-M-LE-V2
chipset: Nvidia GeForce 7025 / nForce 620a (in-Built) 256 mb

Bios Ver: 0902
Date: 07/05/2011

Memory: DDR3
Size: 2048 mb

Additional Info:
I did overclock it 16 months ago, but i kinda de-overclocked it by shutting the additional cores.
(if that's the right way)
