Quad-core cpu vs intel core 15 1st generation

i have intel i5 1st generation 2.4 GZ with Ati Radeon HD 5470. I want to know it's comparision with Quad core (latest and old versions). Is my cpu configuration is compatible for gamming like NFS most wanted 2012.

Both the CPU and GPU are kind of old but the CPU should be able to play that game. The thing that I think will cause the most problem is the video card. The 5470 isn't really a gaming card.

You can of course play most games on that PC but you need to lower your details. Your screen resolution can be important here cause at lower resolutions games tend to tax on CPU more and you have a "not bad" CPU there. But higher resolutions (and more detail levels) require a "decent" GPU. Your GPU is low-end and old but may satisfy you in games, depending on what games you choose to play and what detail level you want to see. You should have no problems with that i5
