$250 budget

Put me together a computer for $250. My complete budget is right around $300 but I'm trying to save $50 for shipping.

Pretty easy and I'll be prudent to hand out best answer.

Requirements:

Newegg, Dual core (AMD or Intel) and 4GB RAM

A video card isn't a requirement, but if a low-end GPU can be squeezed in I'd be much obliged, nor is an OS needed.

Let the fun begin and thank you!

what all do you need? i know you need a cpu and ram but what about a case, hdd, dvd drive, monitor, motherboard, psu, keyboard+mouse, speakers. because $250 is a low budget so the more things you can eliminate from the list the better.

$302.78 including shipping.

2.1 GHz triple core, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, good on-board graphics (good enough for 1280x720 gaming at low/med settngs)

I like that! A little over the budget but I was thinking of an APU.

For my mother-in-law so really no gaming other than flash based browser games. :ouch:

Unless he has an extra copy of windows laying around somewhere add $100 on to that.
