Hello,

We´re trying to run multicast-traffic in a special subnet. This traffic is
being exported by a special protocol-Software Router.

The problem is, that the guys from the lan-department never implemented this
before and they want to know a multicast-MAC-adress.
I´ve studied a few CISCO witepapers but wasn´t able to figure out how the
IP-range (for example 224.0.0.1) is being mapped to the MAC-Adresses. Does
anyone know what kind of entry the CISCO-Box wants to have?

Regards#

Bernhard
