Ok, so I just bought a i7-3820 :sol:  ...a LGA 2011 socket CPU. I already have a somewhat decent cooler but I was wondering if it will work with the new motherboard.
It's a CM Hyper TX3. I know it is compatible with LGA 1555/56 socket, but should it work on the 2011? The mounts look the same, and I can adjust the push pins on my cooler.

Thanks for any help you can give. :)
BTW, here is a link to the cooler.

I don't think it will work. However, if you have a Hyper 212+/EVO, CM will send you the 2011 bracket for free.

No it is not compatible with the 2011 socket.

Get a Thermalright Silver Arrow SB-E extreme version. Arguably the best air cooler available.
