Modem in Win XP

hi all,

i have a Aztech External USB Modem and i just installed Win XP Beta. the OS can detect the modem and install the Win 2k drivers for it, from the modem driver CD. it can dial (i can hear it dial) as well but it can not connect to my ISP (ie; verify my name and password). it just dials, times out and disconnects. any one have an idea on how to correct this?

Probably settings are configured incorrectly. Try calling tech support and asking them to walk you through it.

what settings would you mean?

It should be the settings involved with communicating with your ISP's server - i.e. the settings for the connection itself.
