Ethernet Port Splitting Options For Net-book File Sharing if no crossover cable

hello, I have a desktop with a "black screen", but the computer is running. I need to get files/documents off that computer. How can I get them without being able to see the monitor? I have a netbook, a portable hard drive, and regular ethernet cables, but not a cross over cable. HELP PLEASE! Thanks, KIM

you cant connect the harddisk to the netbook with a docking or cable? maybe you can try to use a program like dameware remote connect to remotely control the pc. Dameware pushes its agent.
