I am at my wits end...

Alright. After multiple tests and changes I am completely baffled. I am building my own rig, and I have all the parts and everything. The problem is that after I hooked everything up just right it's cutting on for about half a second, and then it's cutting off for 5 seconds, then cutting back on for another second, and so on and so forth. So I unhook everything except the MOBO, the CPU, and the HSF. I cut it on and it gives the beep code for memory. So I plug in the ram. Then it starts to repeat again. So I plug in everything except the ram thinking it might be the psu. It starts running fine beeping for memory. So I plug in 1 stick this time. Repeats again. I try the other stick. Repeats again. Now though it is possible, I really don't think that both sticks of ram are bad. Brand new and everything. Unfortunately I don't have a way I know of to test them. I do not know anyone with a computer I can use to plug in the ram that can support it. I don't think its the PSU shorting out when I plug the ram in. It's possible I just don't think that it is it. Yet I don't see why it is the motherboard unless all 4 of the slots for ram are bad on it. So any help would be fantastic. Here are my specs.

Intel i3 2100 (Stock HSF)
Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws 4Gx2 DDR3-1333
Onboard Graphics
500G Seagate HDD
22X DVD Reader/Writer
550W PSU

If this is the ram you have, and look down the qualified motherboard list. Your mother board is not supported.

Well first of all thank you. Second I can't believe I didn't even think to look for a list. I assumed it would support it since it was DDR3 1333. Mistake on my part. Thank you for the help sir. Have yourself a good day.

the ram is on the mb list of tested ram that should work.
if you go to the mb vendor werb page under ram for your mb it there on the 1333 list as tested to work.
most mb and cppu if there working right are going to read the spd info of the ram and set them to the default speed.
what power supply are you using for the build and do you have another to see if it the power supply causing the reboots??
