How to tell video card

I have an HP Pavilion p6277c desktop

Its a windows 7 64 bit. It says it suports: Supports PCI Express x16 graphics card. I have no idea if thats a 1.0, 2.0 or 2.1.
I want to update the video card to one with 1gig for playing games like left 4 dead and other valve games without being so jumpy when playing.

Are cards like:

good enough for these types of games?

I'd say all of those would work seeing as the motherboard does have a PCI Express x16 slot for a dedicated graphics card.

You should be fine with those.

That's the best rated card for <100$, I assumed your budget was fairly small.

The Intel G43 Express Chipset on the HP Pavilion p6277c's motherboard supports PCI Express Revision 1.1.

Does that mean it won't support pci express 2.x cards?

All versions of PCI Express are backwards compatible so yes, a PCI-E 2.x card will work in a 1.x slot.

Those are fairly week cards & maybe good only for very low resolutions. What is your monitor resolution? 1280x1024? 1366x768? 1920x1080, etc...
