How did you get invites for Gmail? I signed up months ago. Have not heard from Google.

I got one invite after 1+ month. And then 3 days later, I got 6 invites at once.

Strange thing is, one of my friends got 6 invitations just after 1 day of registering

same here i registered and got one invite after fortnight, i gave the invite to a mate and he got 6 invites in like 3 days.... BUT he told me had set gmail to his home address so everytime he opens a new webpage or logs on he opens directly to gmail, i did this as well and i now have 6 invites gotten yesterday whether or that really does affect invites i doubt it but i have 6 and am willing to donate 3 to whoever replies to me.

you cant recieve a GMAIL invite if you have hotmail.

Google's been handing out gmail invites like mad specifically to stop people from doing this. I'm sitting on 24 as I type this. You can pretty much get unlimited as you just invite yourself and start a new account and will automatically get 6 more invites. they're pretty much useless now.
