Hello,

I am building my second computer and I would like a little help. I am looking to build on a budget but will spend a little money where it is needed. My question is (with everything else equal) what would give me better gaming experience. I am only looking at AMD and not Intel think you.
a. An AMD A10-5800K with an Radeon HD 6670 Video card (with CrossfireX)
b. An AMD FX-6300 with an MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 Radeon HD 7770 video card
c. AMD FX-8350 Vishera with an GALAXY 95TGE8HUFEXX 9500GT 1G (a video card that I already have)

More about : builds pick amd

a c 78 à CPUs
a b U Graphics card
a b À AMD

I pick "B" because it has the strongest single GPU solution. (Never tried CrossfireX)

the 5800k I would run alone. if I thought I needed more power I would fore go cross firing and buy a better single card.

the second build has upgrade-ability but the graphics card wouldn't be my first pick..........

forget the last. the 9600gt has seen it's day and gets slaughtered by the 5800k alone.

budget and opsys and games and resolution please.

Trying to stay under 500.00 while reusing my case, power supply and keyboard. Everything else new including a 24” monitor. Call of Duty or maybe BF3.

Thank you

B. decent CPU i'd recommend over the good ol' 955BE, if they can spend on it, and decent enough GPU.

this is a tough one for you......... I could spend your $500 ( I assume you need an operating system too ? ) but I'll stick with what I said originally. ( and you forgot to tell us what your ps is... ) none of these builds would give you a "grand" experience especially on the 24" monitor but I think the 5800 and maybe a better single card down the road if you thought you needed it. Secondary machine... ???

this is with a gtx580 card running.
