Need help choosing graphic card

So..I am building a gaming PC, but I cant choose graphic card..
So I'm choosing between GTX 560/GTX 560 ti 2gb/GTX 570/EVGA GTX 580?
My cpu is I5-2500K, don't know the motherboard yet, but ill choose.
Don't know the limit $$ because in my country every part is like 30% higher cost and we are not with $$ so yeah just tell me good graphic cards, which are worth it..Asus or gigabyte motherboard for the processor?
Thanks in advance.

i have a gainward golden sample gtx 560ti,it works well, but if i had the money i would go for the gtx580 for sure
  3. Well..some people say gtx 580 is overpriced, but i'll buy i5 2500k so I can save more and invest it into GPU..so
EVGA GTX 580?and do you think i5 2500k is the best choice?and what motherboard for i5 2500k should I get?Asus or gigabyte.?

    motherboard: asus p8z68 vpro
    cpu: intel core i5 2500k
    gpu: gtx 580
    thats the best deal.
  5. and what about HDD?I guess for gtx 580 ill need 850-watt power supply?
I'm thinking of getting a western black caviar 1tb for HDD.
With that pc..I hope ill run every game lol
  6. From what I know, a GTX 670 would be faster, cheaper, cooler and more power efficient. You'll have a rough time finding one, but I'd say it's worth it.
  7. It's hard to justify anything other than the i5-2500k for CPU, so +1 on that. Between ASUS and Gigabyte, I'd stick to ASUS with which I've good past experiences, and their cards have been easier to come by.

Aside from the GTX 580, which I'd trade for a GTX 670, I second xtreme5 's recommendation. The black caviar sounds good too.

Agreed - if you're going to be purchasing a GPU you might as well get bang for your buck. You can purchase an additional one down the road if you feel a single card isn't meeting your needs but the 670 is a hoss. My friend just upgraded to an EVGA 680 and BF3 looks phenomenal on his rig. I don't know that I can justify spending that much money on a GPU but it's very tempting.

Ah so you're basically saying that GTX 580 is overpriced? If I get gtx 580 ill need better motherboard like xtreme5 said, but that means I wont get it soon cuz i dont hve that much money hehe..What are good gpu other than gtx 580?670 is too expensive in my country ^^ 700$+
    What about EVGA GTX 580 1536MB?GTX 560 2gb?
I am sure about the cpu i5 2500k tho im not sure about the gpu? with gtx 580 i will need 1920x hd monitor right?

i've have told you before in my first post gtx580 has still ultimate performance, and yeah for that resolution it is a good deal.
  11. Well because of gtx 580 ill have to buy good motherboard and that's higher than my budget so dunno..friend of mine says black caviar is the best for hdd..
What about GTX 570?or GTX 580 1536mb(EVGA) cuz that isn't that expensive in my country..560 2gb?
  12. What about radeon hd 7870 ???? what is its price in ur country?
  13. if ur selecting between gtx 560 and 570 i'd say go for the gtx 570

    gtx 580 1.5gb..
  15. Why don't you tell us your budget in your currency and country you are from ;). We'll be able to explore more options and give you the best solution.
  16. Well..I'd like to get gtx 580 but my PCs motherboard burned and I don't have PC..only one but with 1gb ram -.- pain.My point is..I can buy gtx 580 it's not problem to save money for the next month but I dont have PC so I want to buy $$ with the saved money. Is it necessary 1920x monitor for gtx 580? because I'm sure my monitor isnt 1920x..
  17. I'm from Bulgaria.My current budget is around 1900 BGN(1250$?)but every part is like 30-40% increased..i7 2600k is 320$ but in Bulgaria it's 400$+.
It is possible to buy from abroad simply because it is cheaper but the wait time ahh
(It doesn't let me edit my message so I double post, sorry.)
  18. I found a Bulgarian shop website sms.bg, but it's quite poor: I couldn't find any suitable power supply and there were basically no PC cases or decent CPU coolers. I made you a list though:
    http://img580.imageshack.us/img580/2725/bgni.png

It's missing a power supply, and, preferably, it would be nice to change the CPU cooler and the case.

If you know any other websites, give links, and I'll be able to make more builds for you :).

Though I'm planning on buying them via internet because it is cheaper also is EVGA GTX 580 1536MB good?(are there better gpu for around that $$?)What motherboard will I need for gtx 580 1.5gb?.Some people said I should get nvidia gpu if my cpu is Intel? Why is that.

Thank you bytheway for helping me :) much appreciated.
  20. U could get a radeon hd 7950. It has less gpu temp, and much less power consumption. here are the benchmarks

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/517?vs=550

this forum might help choosing between gtx 580 or hd 7950

  21. What if I get GTX 560 2 GB?In bulgarian forum they told me 560 is very good choice and later I could buy 2nd 560 2gb?What do you think
  22. I think hd 7950 is very good at overclocking if u OC it'll catch up to 2 gtx 560 in some games. I've also heard that 2gtx 560 sli cause much more temp. and noise. I'm not sure about this.

I personally don't prefer to sli. I am just happy with a single card :) Its ur choice now

u should read this too might help u out.
  24. @uahmed, let the OP to reply don't post continuesly...
  25. I'm confused zzz.Xtreme5 is saying that gtx 580 is the best choice, but in other threads they say RADEON 7950 is better than GTX 580.
If I understood you right OC Radeon 7950 will be same as 2 gtx 560 in performance?
  26. Yes it will.

Moreover, hd 7950 is better than GTX 580 definitely. But I doubt you'll be able to get HD 7950 at your place, there doesn't seem to be any in stock at the websites you linked.

Also, what do you mean buying over internet? Aren't the shops you linked in the internet? :)

I meant not from Bulgaria :)
    I found in multirama.bg Sapphire HD7950 3 GB? 764BGN(my money)
So Sapphire HD7950 3 GB Overclocked is my best choice?
  29. Sorry my bad. I must have missed it. Yes, it's your best choice IF it fits in your budget.
  30. yup, buy the hd 7950 3gb its really good :)
  31. so Radeon>GTX in gpu?in bulgarian forums people told me gtx is better lol
  32. @op, i said gtx580 is better for you budget but if you can afford to buy HD 7950 then it is way too better, newer tech, run cooler, faster, even overclocking is good.
  33. in my country 7950 is cheaper than gtx 580 lol..what motherboard will i need?
  34. charpidis said:

it does not go that way if u see the gtx 690 is the best graphic card, easily beats a hd 7970. But when we come to gtx 580 vs hd 7950 i'd say hd 7950 wins. :D

    The motherboard?
if you want to upgrade the cpu in the future then go with z77 chipset, if you want to stay with 2500k then stay with z68 chipset. the motherboard which i'm going to suggest you without knowing your bugdet i'd go with the asus p8z68 vpro gen3.
  36. Quote:
intel dh67cl will be good i think if u want more cheaper , i think intel dh61ww will do the work

    what? :ouch: :ouch:
intel dh61ww with 2500k ahh!! are you joking?
  37. ooops sorry i posted this in the wrong forum, was posting in the other sorry ( ill delete it)

@uahmed, if you don't have much experience with any component then please stay away from that.

I'll get Radeon HD 7950 but Sapphire?and what does it mean to crossfire it?What about power supply?thanks and btw what pc u got?
  42. I was told not to buy asrock motherboards cause they are bad? is that true? gigabyte was the best choice?

i too had a bad experience with asrock motherboard. Don't no it was a coincidence or what, But now i only trust intel or asus
  44. If I buy i5-2500K do I have to overclock asap?can I overclock later on because when you overclock gpu for example you shorten it life?is that true(hope you understood me)and is Radeon HD 7950 better than GTX 580 only if overclocked?
  45. Yes, it does shorten its life. Electronics serve up to 20 years, and overclocked parts lifetime is around half of that. I don't know who told you asrock made bad products, I use one myself and it's working perfectly fine.
  46. look at the benchmarks, see for ur self

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/517?vs=550

gtx 580 is behind 7950 in most games and in some games where beats 7950 its not by much fps 7950 is the real deal runs cooler and has much less power consumption

If u OC 7850 it'll beat gtx 580 in all games but i don't think u need to OC U could get a playable frame rate at a decent resolution

Is i5-2500k the best choice for cpu? for gaming I don't need i7(no need hyper-threading) so better invest more money into gpu.
Do I have to overclock when I build my pc? or can I do that later..?And Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 is the best choice right...
