How to install geforce gt 640

Hello,
I am having a bad issue with my new grafics card I have a E-machine. It is a 4 gb. I added a bigger power supply to it and also bought a geforce gt 640 graffic card I installed both of them and ran the disk for the graffic card and now when the computer starts it looks like a bad checkered board I mean I can't see anything. Is their something wrong with the grafic card or do I need to uninstall the grafic card that is built in the computer ?

Did you even install the drivers for it?

set your computer bk to your old set up, use the disc that u got with the new gpu to install drivers, go into bios first and set video to pci, fit the card and you should be all good.
