My old Nvidia 8800 gtx is pretty much dead and doesn't respond in games anymore propperly so it crashes every 2 minutes resulting in an error and blackscreens.Therefor i decided to get a new GPU so i can continue playing diablo 3.

The problem is I can only afford a new gpu atm.I have an old motherboard and was wondering if i can fit a on it without any problems.I know it will probbably bottleneck it but I can't afford a new motherboard etc atm.just that gpu.
Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea to order it? Or perhaps a cheaper one thats better?

Help please,thanks!

It should work, but make sure your PSU has 2x 6pin GPU connectors.

That CPU will likely bottleneck the GPU also, though I don't know how much.

If that PSU is decent yes it is fine. But I recommend you to not waste the money on the 6870 because it will just be bottlenecked. I rather recommend you something like 6770.
