Monitor showing reddish tint

I am using a Samsung SyncMaster 213T monitor with Windows 7 Home Premium and I have gotten a reddisd tint with poor resoultion on the text. The only way I can get it to stop is to unplug the monitor from the computer and then re-connect it and it comes up okay.

What casuses the reddish tint in the first place?

Well I would have suggested you play around with the image quality settings in CCC or the nvidia control panel, but if reconnecting the monitor cable fixes it then I'd try a different cable, if that doesn't work, try a different monitor.

Also, make sure the cable is securely seated and stays that way by making sure the thumbscrews are snug.

You can get odd colors if the connector gets a little offset.
