Coolermaster X6 heatsink/fan has arrived and been installed. Core voltage raised by +0.075 and a simple multiplier increase has the chip running at 4.5Ghz. After an 8 hour run with Prime95 every core was still active and temperatures peaked at 64*C. Overclocks past 4.2Ghz with my chip/mobo combination failed Prime95 testing without the vCore increase. Now that I've raised the vCore, I will see how far it can go on this new voltage.
I got my amd 6300 at 4.5ghz stable at 1.35 voltage
If I overclock it to 4.4ghz, what's the voltage requirement for that? Can I go any higher?
AMD FX 4300 850Watt Corsair 80 Gold Plus 16GB GSkill Ripjaws RAM EVGA 670 Asus Crosshair V Mobo 1.5TB HDD
If you have good water cooling like at least Corsair H-100i you can raise your v-core up to 1.5v and raise clock speed to 5.0 and it will be stableand temps should stay around 55c
