If you route the radio through the loudspeaker option and tune into a
station, then quickly pull the pop-port out, you should get a quick blast
of white noise (static) before it realises what's going on (and turns the
speaker off), which should give you the answer!..

Strange all the same. Wonder was it a ploy by nokia to get you to buy the
headset??how hard would it ave been to intergrate an aerial eh.

While an efficient aerial for the gsm can easily be integrated into the
phone, due to the short wavelength (30 cm for 900 Mhz), an integrated aerial
for the FM band would be much, much less efficient, since the wavelength of
that frequency band is about 3 m!
