Hey guys, i recently wanted to upgrade my PSU so i can future proof my PC.
My problem is my budget for a while is only for 70bucks. and there is a deal on Newegg atm for a SeaSonic G Series SSR-550RM 550W ATX12V 80 Plus Gold PSU for 70 bucks.
i guess my question is will that PSU Handle all the things im wanting to do soon in the future, or should i go for something more like a Corsair CX600 Watt PSU?

My setup

AMD Phenom ii x4 960T (Will unlock to 1605T and Overclock)
Hyper 212 Cooler
2x 4gb Gskill Ripjaws 1333mhz (will soon order anther 4gb pack)
GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+
(ATM) EVGA GTX 550TI
Want to upgrade to a 6870
2 120mm case fans
Western Digital 500gb RE3 Drive

The powersupply im using atm is a Antec Earthwatts 430watt PSU, (and until i get me a new PSU my CPU is running at stock speeds and locked)

Thanks for looking and helping me with my problem guys :)

65$ after rebate. If its still expensive Get Xfx Core Edition Pro 550W/650W

Yes the SSR-550M is more than enough for your system, as well as the plans you have outlined in your post.
Frankly your current PSU would handle it if it had enough PCIe connectors.

Do not go for the CX600, of any version, if your budget is $70.

The best $70 PSU I see now to future proof (CF/SLI) is this, XFX Pro - 650w with 4 pci-e connectors.

Silvune is correct - don't get a "budget" level PSU if you're spending $70

BTW - The Seasonic 550w you were looking at is $60 at Newegg
