Hi everybody,

at the startup my screen is all messed up in this way:

and when windows start it prompts to a blue screen saying there's
a problem with nvlddmkm.sys.

Can I make sure whether my video card is broken or it's something
else, say, a cpu/ram problem? (I already checked the four ram blocks
separately and nothing changes)

MB: Asus P5N-E SLI
CPU: Core 2 Duo Q6600
RAM: 4x1Gb Geil DDR2-800
Video Card: Geforce 8800 Ultra

Thanks!

Try booting into safe mode and reinstalling the video card drivers.

Did it, Windows now starts up but the screen is still messed up. You can see in the pictures that it's badly corrupted since the very beginning of startup, during cmos checkup. I'd say it's a hardware problem... but I don't want to change my video card just to discover it wasn't its fault..
