Ati Radeon 6970 or Ati Radeon 6990

Is it worth the little extra money? Im upgrading from a NVIDIA GT 520.

I also have to buy a new power supply with it so what should i go with?

My proccessor is Intel core i5-2400 3.1 GHz

Don't get either. Look at the 7000 series. Much more bang for your buck.

The 6990 gives about 10-15% less performance than two 6970's in crossfire.

I would also consider a GTX670. It gives more performance than a 7970 for $400. It's not as powerful as the 6990 but it's a great card for price/performance.

As it stands, ATI 7000 series cards are overpriced compared to the GTX670, but the GTX670 is the only 600 series card in stock anywhere at this point.

The Power Supply depends on what you do.

For the 6990, At least a 700w PSU I'd suggest, maybe more.

For the GTX 670 I'd probably go with a 600w, but if you want to SLI later (or CFX if you get a 6970) you'd want more.

What's your budget for the PSU?
