can anyone tell what power supply to use for a ASRock Z77 extreme 6 Motherboard. I understand it needs to be ERP lot 6 ready.....Ed

You don't say what other hardware your using, so can't recommend wattage, but it should be a minimum of bronze 80+ rating.

What is your budget and where are you buying from?

For a motherboard to work in an ERP lot 6 compliant way, it has to be used with an ERP lot 6 compliant PSU. Your motherboard will work with a PSU that is not ERP lot 6 ready.
Most PSUs from trustworthy, respectable brands are EuP compliant.
