:hello: Is the XFX Double D Black Edition Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card good for gaming? Can it play most games max settings and how do you overclock it? And what is a stable overclock? Like can it play BF3 and Skyrim maxed out? What about crysis 2? And if not what is the FPS? Please Help Me! :ange:
PS: I am talking about just 1 of the cards not crossfire.

Yess, Do your self some research, Its only faster by 2 - 5fps, thats because of the bios of the 7770 has higher clocks and has been well tweaked. My old 5770 I flashed to the 6770, and soon am going to flash it to the 7770, just because all they are is the same cards with a bit of tweaks to the memory timings.

Enough said :) : http://www.hwcompare.com/11951/radeon-hd-5770-vs-radeon-hd-7770/

But either way the 7770 is just a re branded 6770, or I should say the 5770, lol

Get the 6850 as said above, faster and well help with games later on in the year.

Edit: Ah never mind about the flashing to the 7770, Different Fab Process, so it wont work, oh well.

what the hell are you talking about, seriously, flashing a 5770 to 6770, are you seriously out of your mind, and flashing 6770 to 7770, pff, fell sorry for you bro.

i really don't know if you are trolling or not but you simply don't know a g about gfx cards.

Hey bro, I do know quite a bit about some of this flashing stuff lol, And successfully flashed my 5850 to a 5870 so I could OC it further (More volts) and fix the dual monitor problem, but I am still running 1440 shaders since they are laz cut, but either way, this is the forum I use to help me flash my 5770 to a 6770 http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149995 , Reason why I did this, I can sell it for a tad bit more, Also edited the clocks so not only is a 6770, is a heck of an Overclocked 6770, And again, raise in price. No AMD overdrive needed, unless you want to squeeze a bit more which it will do on the core and memory. I own a Home PC repair shop for a second job, I do come across things that I can resell. Mod it to get a bit of extra cash, Do it. Like lapping a CPU, time consuming but hell, why not.

You sir, have a good day!

Btw, Thanks for the best Answer GangstaCham

And to overclock it, you would use Catalyst Control Center or another program like MSI Afterburner, And ever card is different on how they Overclock, Like this 6770 I have will clock to 970mhz core, and 1290mhz memory, Some 6770's may not even get near that, some 6770's may even pass that with flying colors, its hard to tell. here is a screenshot on how to get to the Overclocking panel on CCC. http://i50.tinypic.com/egwjk0.jpg
