Synopsis - My new 7850 video card was causing my computer to fail once the card exited 2D mode on many different applications, I decided to RMA the card as defective.

Just got my new card and my computer has yet to fail, BUT - the same graphical issue is appearing on web pages. I attached a crappy cellphone picture to show exactly what I mean. The choppy checker boarding appears whenever scrolling, though it's much more obvious when scrolling fast.

If I run the card alone, nothing changes.
I am running dual monitors normally, the checker boarding does NOT appear on the monitor driven by my old 4850.

Suggestions?

odd, i haven't had this kind of problem with my 7850. maybe the 7850 is badly reacting to one of the hardware.

Perhaps related to something with my sound. When doing certain actions the audio will sometimes stutter (Ex: dragging a window out of full screen in win 7).
I'm using a usb DAC, all other sound devices are disabled in both sounds control panel and device manage. Also, I did a driver sweeper clean of all audio components.

Edit: forgot to add - "DPC Latency Checker" shows a spike around 20,000 whenever the audio stutters.

No changes, still stutters.

its a 2d clock issue...
here u go

You have to change those two values (I set them to 70000 and 80000)

<Feature name="CoreClockTarget_PCI_VEN_1002&DEV_6819&am p;SUBSYS_25531458&REV_00_4&2D68EC9A&0& amp;0008A">
<Property name="Want_0" value="70000" />
<Property name="Want_1" value="97500" />
</Feature>

My computer finally decided to freeze up this morning, checker boarding was on the screen at the time.

As much as I thought this would work, no change. Checker board pattern still occurs, audio still choppy at times.
(Checked GPU-Z, the card is running at the new clock speeds, yes.)

Didn't notice it at first, but now that the 2d clock is set at 700/800, I can hear the card switching (high pitch buzz tone change) when I scroll on webpages. I changed it back.

Found another potential culprit: In GPU-Z the "Bus Interface" reads "PCI-E3.0 x16 @ x16 1.1"
My mobo supports 2.0, and it fact my other video card is running at 2.0 in GPU-Z, weird.

How do I fix that? Thoughts?
