nVidia GeForce 7100 chipset is what I have.

I want to know what the most I can upgrade to?

Looks like you have a 250W PSU. That is a real limiting factor. In that case the most you can upgrade to is the $110 AMD 7750.

I'd suggest saving for a complete upgrade if that's an option, you'd get much better performance/price...

Yeah the psu isn't too good i'd too recommend on saving the money now and then upgrade your psu and buy a hd 6850.

But i also think your cpu will bottleneck the card. you'll need to OC ur cpu :)

no the hd 6850 is too much for that cpu it will be better to get new whole instead of overclocking.:)

Would it be better to just buy a new computer with all the parts (having someone else install everything) ? I was looking at EVGA GeForce GTX 580 and wanted to make something that could play Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 at max settings, I just have no idea what parts I need.

Ok, thanks for the replies it's a big help! I just wasn't sure how much a new pc would cost and didn't know if I should upgrade this old one or get a new one, but thanks for all the help!

So here is a great gaming pc under your price you just need to make sure you pick a case with a place to put the radiator for the liquid cooling. A corsair with the slots for two 120mm fans on the the top will be good. This would be a beast of a machine it will blow your mind how fast it does tasks and the gaming would be outstanding plus you can always hook it up to your tv. Oh yeah I forgot a cd rom drive but you can decide if you want blue ray or not.
