Hello, I find that videos run extremely slowly on my computer. Will upgrading the video card help or is there anything else I can do.

CPU 3.00Ghz 2.99GHz
3.25GB of RAM
Power Supply 305W
146GB Hard Drive
Radeon X300 Series 128Mb

Well if that one will definitely work then I shall certainly upgrade to this one.

What other things can I do to help with the speed issues ? :wahoo:
 
Clean up unused programs. Run a defrag on your hard drive.

The very best way would be to do a clean install. It should make it snappier.

However there is only so much cleaning/defragging you can do to make it any quicker, you have quite an antiquated setup.

Thanks but I recently had a virus which meant I had to reformat the hard drive, hence I have had a really good clean-up. I know it's a little antiquated (2005), but it all works well and does what I want, except for the speed of videos.
