Here is what I have, below is the readout from my system summary. I also have a ide Hard drive that I am running windows xp off of( it has my pro tools on it). I have since purchased a XFX R6770 Core Edition video card so I could utilize a dual monitor setup. I would like to in the future add another optical drive as well as another sata hdd. What would you suggest for a new Power supply. I believe the one I have isn't going to have the power requirements for more drives, as well as cables. I am also looking to upgrade my ram to 8 or even 16GB, what would you suggest for that??

Any matching DDR3 1600MHz ram will work. What is your current PSU? HDD pull very little power and usually are not a reason to upgrade PSU.

Well 8Gb ram will be ok. For gaming u dont need 16 Gb ram.

And about the PSU

Antec Vp450W or Cx 430W V2 will be ok with your rig.

If u plan to add GPU when add $ and get XFX 550W

Which PSU you currently have again? Try this

http://images10.newegg.com/BizIntell/tool/psucalc/index...

Newegg still has this for $50. It's a steal considering 8GB is like $45 already.

And get a 650W in case you decide to get a gtx 680, probably need more wattage if you want sli/cross fire.

Newegg still has the corsair psu series on sale

8gb is fine for now, how ever, if you want to get into pro level Video Editing, it might be a good idea to buy 16... But you could go 8gb then 16gb later. IMO, for best perfromance, go with a 750w, they're the same price as the 650w.
