Hey i have a question... My Intel i7 2600K is getting around 82C after running prime95 for about 5-10 minutes. After that, it just stays at 82C. Is this HOT? Like is this a hot temp for being under full load with a stock cpu cooler? I am currently in the process of Buying a hyper 212 plus cpu cooler and i want to overclock but i want to make sure these temps are good, or am i missing something?

My Rig Specs:

MSI Z77A-G43 Motherboard
Intel i7 2600k - 3.4 GHz Steady Speed
Stock CPU Cooler
XCLIO Windtunnel Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103011
8 GB Sector 5 Patriot DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Memory
500 GB 7200 RPM HDD
Nvidia GT 530

Im looking to do some 3D editing and these temps seem to be kind of high. Can you guys help me out here?

check thermal paste, reapply if needed

check fan whether pin properly or not

check cable management and also flow of fan, exhaust and intake

82C is still acceptable, in daily moderate usage temp shouldn't/won't be as high, but make sure install aftermarket cooler be4 overclocking

Thanks! I'll change the paste when i get the new cooler this week. Do you have any tutorials or videos i can watch so i know how to apply it the best?
