Additional Comments: Mainly games like Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, and probably Crysis. Planning on using microsoft programs for school as well .

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Just decided its time for a new computer .


My parts are as follow:

CPU = Intel Core i7-2600K

MOBO = ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3

RAM = G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

Memory = WD Caviar Black WD5002AALX

Graphic Card = EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550

Case = Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower Gamer Case 900 ATX

PSU = OCZ ModXStream Pro 700w

Is there any parts I should upgrade or change? If so please let me know, thanks !

Right now, the only thing I would change is swapping the 700W psu to a 500w one. Depending on what you want to do with the computer, we may be able to suggest different options for cpu and gpu as well.

what is this build for. if its purely gaming, an i7 is unnecessary and a gtx 550ti is a very underwhelming card. also if you prefer to have an unlocked cpu for overclocking, you will need a dedicated cpu cooler.
