Sorry expect this has been asked and answered 50 times already, but please
bear with a newbie.
I have new 6230 and probs with PC suite. I loaded it all (drivers
first).Phone confirms its connected OK Could dump the phone contents
successfully but phone browser did not work in that whilst it confirmed 6230
was online and i could see the gallery folder, i couldnt open it. instead
got a message like 'operation could not complete'.
Tried downloading the latest PC Suite from Nokia's web site, which
eventually worked (very unwindows-like as you have to remove the old version
AND the old drivers first!!), but no real difference except now i can also
see a 'my contacts' folder which i also cant open.
Must be something silly surely, setting on Phone etc. any suggestions
welcome please.

Even newbies can search the archives...

Uh, I'd call that *very much* like Windows.
Anyway, it works under Linux (sort of), so I am not much help.

I'd say that has nothing to do with Windows, but reflects the poor qualiy of
the Nokia software. They seem to invest more time in the artwork on the
dialogs, than the design, usability and technical strength of PC Suite.

i STRONGLY AGREE WITH U

I had exactly the same problem, but got it workomg in the end. I'm not sure
exactly what I did to fix it, but things I tried included:
Renaming the MMC card (I think this may have been it)
Fiddled around connecting/disconnecting asociating/de-associating BT pairing
Trying some of the other applications and getting them to make the
connection.
Once it started to work, it is nice now. If my phone is in range and BT is
turned on, I can just browse my phone with any explorer window.
