What PSU would you recommend for this build?

I'm probably going to overclock my CPU and i'm not completely sure that the PSU I have would be sufficient enough. If the one I currently have is not good enough can you guys suggest one that would be for under 50$?

More about what recommend build
  1. Rather get the ANTEC NEO ECO 520W, its a great PSU at a good price.
  2. Well i recommend

    Antec Vp450W or Cx 430W V2.

Also if u plan to add a more powerful GPU i suggest getting 550W Xfx Core Pro.

But with your current build Antec Vp-450 Is more than enough

    http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Antec-VP450-Power-Supply-Review/1487
  3. I'm keeping the same GPU, but would my PSU be good enough if I would overclock it?
  4. yes technically it will. But a little grace would be safer. Thats why I suggested the 520W. This will give you more headroom and better power stability under heavy load.
  5. Well that Cx 430V2 is great and it will handle the OC but if u can change to Antec Vp450 as it is a better PSU.

On the 12 V rail Antec has more W so it is safer than Cx 430.

    Gpu 80W
    Cpu 125W
    Hdd 15W
    Dvd 25W
    Ram 16W

    =261W

So even with OC u will be safe
  6. Should I try building my computer with the PSU I have now?Is there anyway I could see how many watts I'm using with it?
  7. I just told ya:)

Cx 430V2 is ok but Antec is a bit better!

Sorry skimmed through the post and missed that part lol. Would there be any way I can see how many watts my PC uses after overclock?
  9. U need to buy it at the store so u can see how much it pulls from the wall.
  10. If you could throw in the extra $10 then you could get a Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus 600Watt power supply. I'm no cooler master fanboy, but you can also get a Thermaltake PSU for I think $5 less, but I really thing Cooler Master is worth it

Agreed Coolermaster PSUs sucks mostly. So does Thermaltake, some select good units but yeah.
