Problems with GTX 670 FTW

Hello,
I just got the new GTX 670 FTW from EVGA. With my i5 2500k overclocked to 4.0ghz I was expecting extreme performance. But while playing BF3 I tried messing with video settings for optimal performance and I even went down to low settings. It is not running smoothly whatsoever. I am running a single monitor at 1920 by 1080. FPS ranges from 95 down to 58 and it seems to affect it. I just want to play the game.

More about problems
  1. get an SSD...? that might help increase performance
  2. How does it perform in other games? Are you playing online? If you're doing online gaming, it's possible that your internet connection and not your graphics card is the problem.

Try going into single player or playing a different (but also graphics-intensive) game and see how your performance is there.

    In other Games
    GTA IV average 53 fps
    COD 4 avg 95 fps
My internet speed is 13 mbps
    So still confused.
  4. Is that your rated speed or is that your actual speed? That seems REALLY fast (the fastest ATT speed in my area is marketed as 6 Mb/s and probably doesn't actually get close to that). Try www.speedtest.net for a realtime speed.

If that's your actual speed then you have some kind of hardware or software issue. Does BF3 have the option for you to autodetect graphics settings? If so, try that. You might also try tweaking your AA or quality just a bit to see if you notice any difference.
