What games do you want to play?

Its kind of obscure but I am a fan of the x series (http://www.egosoft.com/games/x3ap/info_en.php). I'm not looking for super high end... but kind of mid range/budget build.

Other than that I would like to play the most recent FPS at middle type settings ... say (BF3 or similar game).

You can easily do that with the setup you have, a 560ti will run bf3 at high in 1080p i believe. Although, the 7850 seems to be a better buy atm. You should look at benchmarks at anandtech.com and see what kind of performance you like from the games you will be playing. Heres a link http://www.anandtech.com/show/5625/amd-radeon-hd-7870-ghz-edition-radeon-hd-7850-review-rounding-out-southern-islands/1 - for each game you can compare the performance between 7850 and 560ti. This is what ive been doing for the past hour or so(lol but for the 7870) so i have learned quite a bit. Its largely dependent on what games you want to play and what performance youre okay with.

Processor wise i would always go with a k (unlocked) to overclock, or at least have that option in the future as opposed to being forced to buy a new processor to get faster speeds. Its a small price difference for a great advantage.

Motherboard wise someone with more expertise can help you out. The LK is what i believe i will be using, its supposed to be a solid board but not a lot of fancy features.

I'd go with a Radeon 7850 GPU. slightly faster at stock speeds vs the 560Ti (7850 is more comparable to the 560Ti 448 Core), but consumes a heck of a lot less power. They're about the same price on Newegg, plus the 7850 scales really well in Crossfire, which would make a good upgrade, should you ever decide you need more graphics muscle.
