Hi, I've recently purchased upgrades (3570k, asrock extreme6, gskill ripjaws 8gb) and I have approx £300 left for graphics (thinking about gtx670), I was planning on reusing my old psu but it's approx 4 years old, it's an enermax galaxy dxx 850w, the pc is only used for 10-15 hours a week, do you's think it's a risk to continue using this psu because replacing will take a nasty chunk of my gpu cash

any advice will be greatly appreciated

Hi - No need to replace it. In Jonnyguru test, his only complaints were not very efficient at low loads
and expensive. Since you already own it, these are minor issues. BTW, he gave it 8 out of 10.

Keep it until it gives you reason or concern to be wary.

I would have to agree. It seems to be a sold PSU. While it is out of it's warranty period, if it hasn't caused you any issues or alarms it should be fine.

It 'could' be on your list for the next update, but until then it should still serve you well.
